"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". Nelson Mandela
This classroom is where our two-year-old children come to learn and play. While in this room, the children work on gross motor skills, potty training, sitting quietly for short periods of time, adjusting to structured day, making new friends and most importantly there are introduced to God and his son Jesus. In this class, our goal is to get them the social experience they need by teaching them positive interaction as well as using positive words. The children are also exposed to basic concepts such as letters, colours, numbers and shapes.
2-3 Years, Potty Trained: NO
While in this class the children will work on sitting for longer periods of time, working cooperatively with other children in centres or table work, understanding more about who God is and they will begin working on important fine motor skills (e.g. writing and tracing). Socialization is also a huge part of this class because the students are now beginning to articulate their interests and emotions more clearly, making it easier to bond with friends.
3-4 Years, Potty Trained: YES
In this class, the children are preparing for kindergarten. Their day is more structured, they are working on mastering the alphabet and numbers (1-20) and they are working on developing potential life-long friendships. We believe strongly that children learn through play, so we have designed our program around the need for interaction. It is our goal to ensure that every child that transitions to Kindergarten from our school does so fully prepared. We make every effort to stay up-to-date with the current common core changes taking place. As the public-school system changes it's goals, you can count on us to ensure that your child is ready to handle the challenges that will come their way.
